What is a daCi Day of Dance?
To promote dance for children and best practices in the teaching of dance to children across the United States, dance and the Child International USA encourages members to conduct a regional or statewide one day day of teaching and professional development. To publicize and facilitate this workshop day, daCi USA will offer $200.00 in seed money to five sites. The purpose of a daCi USA Day of Dance is two fold:
- to increase visibility and membership in daCi USA
- to model practices in dance education for children
The presenters of daCi USA Day of Dance may set and collect the fees for their gathering. daCi USA is only asking that a discounted membership fee of $25.00 be included in the fee for participants that are not currently daCi USA members. These new members will then be turned over to daCi USA. It is important that complete registration forms be included with these membership fees so that daCi USA can have correct names, addresses, phone numbers, email for new members.
If you are interested in receiving $200 seed money to present a daCi USA Day of Dance please email: JanZalesky@aol.com for an application.
